Harting IX series connector and the Hirose IX series connector are fully compatible with each other, offering seamless interoperability in industrial applications.

The IX connector series is primarily divided into two keying types 

IX A-Key, IX40G-A-10S-CV : Specifically designed for  Ethernet applications , including Gigabit and 10G Ethernet.  This keying ensures proper alignment and connection for high-speed data transmission and is widely used in network communication devices.

IX B-Key, IX40G-B-10S-CV : Intended for  signaling, serial communication , and other  industrial bus systems .  It prevents mismating with Ethernet ports and supports control signals or lower-speed data applications.
