SCSI HPDB68 to HPCN MDR 68 Pin Cable 

PCM-S-0778 is an HPCN68 male to HPDB68P male cable assembly designed to connect two different 68 pin high density connector interfaces.

The cable uses an HPCN68 / MDR68 male connector on one end and an HPDB68P male connector on the other. Both connectors use IDC termination and are secured with 2-56UNC screw locking hardware.

The assembly uses a 28AWG 34-pair UL20276 shielded cable with an approximately 9.0 mm outer diameter. The cable structure includes Mylar, aluminum-Mylar shielding, drain wire and braid, with a black PVC jacket. The 68 conductors are wired one-to-one from P1 to P2, with no crossover or reversal. The metal shells are connected to the cable braid for shield continuity.

Both connectors use 2-56UNC nickel-plated screws for secure mechanical retention during equipment connection.

6. 100% Electrical Testing

Each completed assembly undergoes 100% testing for open circuits, short circuits and miswiring, with insulation resistance and contact resistance also checked according to the specified requirements.
