SCSI HPCN68 Male to MDR68 Male Cable

PCM-S-0779 is a 68 pin HPCN68 male to HPCN68 male cable assembly for direct connection between two MDR68 interfaces. It uses IDC termination, 2-56UNC screw locking and a 28AWG 34-pair UL20276 shielded cable. All 68 conductors are wired 1:1 without crossover or reversal, while the metal shells are connected to the cable braid for shield continuity.

Key Features :

Screw Locking

Both HPCN68 male connectors use 2-56UNC nickel-plated screws for mechanical retention at the equipment interface.

UL20276 Shielded Cable

The assembly uses a 28AWG 34-pair UL20276 cable with an approximately Ø9.0 mm outer diameter and black PVC jacket.

IDC Termination

Both ends use IDC insulation-displacement termination. The specified manufacturing process does not use solder-cup termination.

Multi-Layer Shielding

The cable incorporates Mylar, aluminum-Mylar, drain wire and braid, with the metal shells at both HPCN68 ends connected to the cable braid.

1:1 Pin Assignment

All 68 conductors follow a straight-through 1:1 configuration, with corresponding pin numbers connected directly without crossover or reversal.

100% Electrical Testing

Each finished assembly undergoes 100% testing for open circuits, short circuits and miswiring, with insulation resistance and contact resistance checked according to the specified requirements.
