FTDI USB A to DB9 Male RS232 Serial Cable Right Angle

PCM-KW-452 is a USB to DB9 Male RS232 converter cable designed to connect computers with USB-A ports to equipment using a standard DB9 Female RS232 interface. The cable integrates an FTDI FT232RNL USB to serial conversion chipset with a UM213 ESD protection device on PCB KA-892 REV1.0.

Unlike simplified USB to RS232 cables that only provide TXD, RXD and GND, PCM-KW-452 brings out all nine RS232 signals, including DCD, DTR, DSR, RTS, CTS and RI. This configuration supports hardware flow control and modem control functions required by certain industrial equipment, test instruments and serial peripherals. The DB9 Male connector includes two locking screws for a secured connection during equipment operation, while the 1 m UL2464 cable provides a practical connection length for PC based serial communication.
